Bone Broth Soup by Al


The Vital Proteins bone broth is one of my new favorite things! With its many benefits, including the promotion of healthy bones and digestive tract, it is also a great source of protein. In our home we love having soup all year round, and since we are eating more of a plant-based diet, it’s nice to have an added protein so I know we are getting everything we need to fuel our bodies. As an (unprofessional) athlete, I struggle to find healthy foods that satiate my hunger — Vital Proteins has been a great supplement to my diet so I stay full longer, and have the energy I need for my many workouts throughout the week. 

I put together a simple recipe loaded with fiber and protein to keep you full, without worrying about what you’re eating. Have seconds, because it’s legit good for you.



1 1/2 cups potatoes 

1 large tomato 

1 cup carrots/2 lrg carrots

3 stalks celery 

1 large onion 

1/4 cup fresh parsley 

1/2 cup quinoa 

4 scoops of Vital Proteins bone broth 

salt and pepper to taste 

pinch of rosemary 

1-2 bay leaves 

pinch of cinnamon 



-chop veggies into bite size pieces 

-bring 4 cups water to a boil (add another cup for more broth, you’re throwing quinoa straight in)
-add potatoes

-add quinoa 


-preheat a pan on medium heat

-add 2 tablespoons olive oil

-toss onion, tomato, carrots, and celery in 

-add spices

-sauté for 5 min on high heat uncovered 


-add veggies to broth

-bring to boil again 

-simmer on low heat covered for 45 min to an hr

-add salt and pepper to taste 

-top with fresh parsley and red pepper
